The composition was unveiled in 1989. It was created to honour the memory of the Lithuanian heroic victim, deportees, political prisoners who died in the vast expanse of Siberia.

On 14 June 1995, the symbolic “Path of Pain and Suffering” was consecrated near the Three Crosses – the railway rails symbolizing the echelons that transported people from Radviliškis to exile. The Memorial Wall made of field stones is a monument to those who did not return from the vast expanse of Siberia. The railway rails are broken, like the destinies of the exiled people. Between the rails, there are stones marking the places of homesteads of the deportees. On 14 June 2001, when commemorating the 60th anniversary of the exile, an oak tree of Hope was planted at this memorial.

Authors of the composition: Vytautas Jonas Vaicekauskas, A. Dovydaitis, Edmundas Gaubas.
