Šiaulėnai Regional Museum is located in an old house dating back to pre-war times. In the central part of the building visitors can see an authentic kitchen with a bread oven and a chimney where meat was smoked. One of the halls is dedicated to the countrymen, brothers Balys and Jonas Buračas: Balys was a famous photographer, local historian, teacher, Jonas was a painter. A separate room is dedicated to Vladas Tiškas, a famous public figure of Independent Lithuania (he lived in that room). The second floor presents accumulated material about prominent people of this region, and household items are exhibited. Visiting the museum is by prior arrangement.
