Šiaulėnai regional museum is located in an old prewar house. There is an authentic kitchen with oven for
bread-making in the middle of the building and the chimney where meat used to be smoked.
One of the halls is dedicated to brothers B. and J. Buračai. B. Buračas was a famous photographer,
ethnographer and educator. J. Buračas was an artist. A separate room is for V. Tiškus, a famous figure of
independent Lithuania. The rooms on the first floor host exhibits of about prominent people of this region and there you can find various household utensils.
